Low Level Laser Therapy
Low Level Laser Therapy is primarily used in the treatment of wound healing and for the relief of short-term pain for arthritis, acute and chronic neck pain, tendinopathy, and possibly chronic joint disorders. The different lengths of laser light have different healing applications. The light from the laser is distributed in the tissue in the shape of a ball or an egg. The shorter wave lengths of laser light are readily absorbed by blood and skin surface components. The wave lengths above and below 850 nm are avidly absorbed by superficial structure and tissue. These wave lengths are used in dermatology and cosmetics. The significant depth of penetration was noted with wave length around 850nm .The greater amount of photons is delivered with these waves. These waves are indicated for healing of deeper structure and can be used in Physiotherapy, Sport medicine and Veterinary medicine for treatment of many conditions.
